What is International Cooperation on Cultural Heritage

Japan Consortium for International Cooperation in Cultural Heritage is a base organization in which experts and institutions from diverse fields related to international cooperation on the protection of cultural heritage participate. The National Research Institute the Cultural Properties, Tokyo has been entrusted with the task of managing the JCIC-Heritage. While promoting the building of networks and the sharing of information among its members, the Consortium also conducts activities for the dissemination and raising of public awareness as well as for the research and study of international cooperation in matters related to cultural heritage.
